Maintenance

Maintenance should be followed to extend the life and appearance of your Tint Club automotive window tint, as well as to maintain your warranty cover age.

  • Do not roll down windows for a period of five (5) days until the window tint has properly adhered to the glass.
  • Do not wash the window tint for seven (7) days after installation.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or coarse cloths.
  • Use a mild soap and clean, soft cloth or synthetic sponge.

Note: The above are general guidelines for caring for your window tint. Humidity and temperature can determine the length of the curing process. Please ask your local installer for care instructions tailored to your location.

Warranty Limitations

Warranty repair liability shall in no case exceed a value greater than the original invoice amount, nor order warranty repair service be extended to anyone other than the original purchaser of the film. This warranty does not apply to glass breakage or seal failure conditions or damage due to improper care. Installing warranty replacement film will not renew or extend the original warranty coverage time periods. With the exception of any warranties implied by state law as hereby limited, this warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, agreements, and similar obligations of Tint Club, with respect to the repair and/or replacement of the film. Obtaining replacement window film as provided under this warranty is the exclusive remedy under this warranty. In no event shall Tint Club be liable in either tort or contract for any loss or damages whether direct, special, consequential or incidental arising out of the use of, or inability to use Tint Club products. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranties, including the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, on these products are expressly limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and/or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the installation company or company is authorized to change, modify or extend the terms of this warranty or to create or assume for Tint Club any other obligation of liability. This warranty gives you specific legal rights which may vary from state to state. Films designed for exterior applications must be edge sealed along with any seams using Dow Corning 795.794,790. The warranty will not be honored unless the film has been properly sealed.

Does not cover:

  • Installation defects
  • Automotive window tint on flat glass
  • Glass or frame defects
  • Application of two or more films to the same piece of glass
  • Warranty is void in the event of fraud or misrepresentation by film installer or owner

If you have problems contacting the installing dealer, please contact Tint Club at (256) 926-8214 or info@tintclub.com. To expedite all warranty claims, original purchasers must include product name, shade, original installation date, a sample of the failed product, and photos showing the failed product on the window.

Film Care

Avoid cleaning your new window film for at least 30 days. Visual changes after installation are a normal part of the adhesive bonding process. When the haziness/milky look and water pockets have disappeared, the film is considered dry or “cured” and is safe to clean. Depending on the product and temperature, it may take up to 60 days for the film to fully cure. You may clean the inside surface with any normal household strength glass cleaner and a soft lint-free cloth. DO NOT USE abrasive cleaners, industrial-strength glass cleaners, or other window cleaning tools that may scratch the window film. For best results, avoid cleaning in direct sunlight.

Curing Period

After installation, you may notice a hazy/milky appearance when you look through the film. Water pockets may also develop as the film cures. This is to be expected and is caused by the barrier nature of the film. Complete dry-out should occur within 30-60 days depending on the amount of remaining installation solution, sunlight, humidity, and heat directed upon the window. DO NOT clean the film for at least 30 days or until it has completely dried out or cured.
